There are songs I can’t sing

D, Bm, A, G
D, Bm, A, G
D, Bm, A…
The melody rings in my head,
as I thought of the days,
where the edge of your lips would lift your face,
when I come back to play.
You’d sit next to me,
when the meals that mum has cooked is right in front,
no words was spoken,
our presence was all that matter.

The melody rings in my head,
a photograph taken when I was eight,
I could see the smile on your face,
when you clicked, and lights flashed before me.
The next thing I knew,
we were shopping for food.
”No rubbish,” you’d say,
yet the trolley snacks filled.

The melody rings in my head,
as the words starts coming.
Why is my eyes watery,
just cause the melody started ringing.
Would you have stayed and sing a lil while?
And wipe my tears, while I sing you a song.
A song that reminds me of how much I need you.
A song that reminds me that I can’t again see you.
A song that breaks my heart every time,
when all I wanted was to tell you I miss you.
